Footage was originally shotBefore we shot Variations On Us, we had to shoot a screen test to make sure everything would come out okay with lighting, etc. Once I got the screen test back, I was so inspired by the way it looked, I felt like I needed to makes something out of it and not just let this beautiful film go to waste. SO I spent a couple of months scratching the film with a razor and painting it with water colors and splicing in other weird super 8 films. The result is possibly one of my things I've ever made.
