  • First ever release for LSD, then. It is not so remote from the later output, really: long, monotonous and faceless tracks that stray from deep underground. The B side (white-label side) starts off with an aimless, abstract piece that vaguely sounds like running water and might find its way into a spaced out ambient/XP set. The second track is a little puzzling: sounds correct at either 33 or 45 rpm and is either very slow (by LSD standards) or rather short (still by LSD standards). In any case, it is also the weakest track of the EP.
Side A (black-label side) starts with probably the most conventional track LSD came up with: techno tempo and programming with just the right amount of effects to make it dirtier, then finishes in a bang with the strongest track on this release: very long and progressive, superbly hard, dark and monotonous.
Most tracks unfortunately suffer from what must be one of the worst mastering ever and a rather dodgy pressing. Listening to an unplayed copy of this in 2011 sounds like listening to a 1991 tape copied eight times and played several hundreds of times: muffled and crackly (especially A2). Part of the charm, probably.
