Frank Zappa accomplished this on virtually every one of his records, but One Size Fits All is a mother lode. I was 15 years old when it was released, and One Size Fits All was the first Zappa record I ever heard. It blew away the depressing dark cloud that had been hovering over my world and revealed a magnificently shimmering, star-filled night sky. The album has that warm, fat analog sound that just feels good on the ears. All the instruments and vocals are masterfully arranged and recorded so that you can hear and fetish every little vibrational morsel. This book also offers a glimpse into the way Frank musically stacked his elements to create tapestries of rich, harmonic sounds. Released soon after the live Roxy & Elsewhere, One Size Fits All contained more of the material premiered during the 1973-1974 tour, but this time largely re-recorded in the studio. The band remains the same: George Duke, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Chester Thompson, Tom Fowler, and Ruth Underwood. Complete your Frank Zappa And The Mothers Of Invention collection. This record marked the end of Zappas early 1970s style before his shift to the more sex-driven humor of his later works of the decade. The tone of the record is wonderfully set by the album cover, which depicts floating debris and a large sofa over an outer space backdrop. The record has lush production, complex instrumental and vocal arrangements, and an even high quality, all used to build up tracks whose lyrical content ranges from. A special four-channel Quadraphonic version of the album was prepared and advertised, but not released. Mid-75, Frank's second incarnation of the mother's Of Invention was now in full swing and One Size Fits all is probably one of the more serious mothers album of that period, since it gives a bigger than usual space to instrumental music and avoids the scatological humour of albums surrounding it. A bizarre spacey artwork graces the album's cover with a personal view of the zodiac system on the back cover. Songs in album Frank Zappa - One Size Fits All 1975. Frank Zappa - Inca Roads.
